Maps always deteriorate with use. This is coated. Clear and large
This map is great if you don't need detail. It's good also if you plan on using it while you're eating as it is heavily laminated. Not a lot of detail. But if you just need the main interstates to get to your destination fast, no sight seeing, then this will do that job.
I like this map. It is easy to fold up and look at. It, of course, isn't as detailed as a map covering a small area, but it is a manageable size... and, since it is laminated, it's waterproof! I love that the best.
Great material, durable and waterproof, works great with wet-erase markers. I would recommend using a state-sized map if possible, but this map was great for several cross country road trips!
Very sturdy, easy to read map. Although I have a navigation system in my car and on my Smart phone, I still like to use maps to get the overall view of where I'm planning to go. I get frustrated with paper maps that tear and don't last long so this laminated map is perfect.
These laminated maps are great. I have them for all the lower 48 (and some of Canada and Alaska). If you need really detailed maps of a state, buy one of the Atlas and Gazetteers from Delorme (but note that they were NOT available for all states, at least when I last checked). But if you're traveling and need reasonably good maps for the states you'll cross, the Rand McNally laminated maps will serve you well.
Thin laminated map with ca1/2 of lower 48 on each side with a couple hundred miles of overlap and incursions to several hundred miles into Canada which is nice. Also has AK & HI + PR!. Make sure you have a magnifying glass to read it tho as scale is 4 million to one! Shows interstate, US, and state highways. Parks, wildlife refuges, rivers, lakes, and many other points of varying degrees of interest shown. Thousands of cities listed with map coordinates. Seems as tho it will be durable. Unfolded measures ca 27" [N-S] x 38" [E-W]. Needless 'topographic' shading adds to reading difficulty. Is a 10th edition that claims to be updated thru 2014. Can write on and wipe off.
